METAL MANIACS FESTIVAL

Cloven hoof would like to thank all the fans and organizers at the Metal Maniacs Festival in Hoorn Holland. It was an amazing night and the band would like to salute all the fanatical metal heads who head banged with the band on stage during the encore. It was chaos, but Cloven hoof loved every minute of it! See you all again in Holland next year!

CHRISTIAN HORTON CLOVEN HOOF NEW TWIN GUITARIST

Christian Horton makes his cloven hoof debut 25th of October, in a baptism of fire at the Metal Maniacs 2008 festival in Hoorn Holland. Christian supported Cloven hoof whilst playing in the excellent band Dark forest. He will provide blistering rhythm guitar in a set packed with classic hoof songs.

CLOVEN HOOF TO PLAY LAST EVER RUSKIN ARMS SHOW FOR CLIVE AID

Cloven hoof will play at the last ever show at the famous Ruskin Arms on Saturday 15 Nov 2008. The bands slot will be slot will be 9.05 - 9.45, and will be for a cause that the group feel very strong about. Clive Burr is one of our own, and every true metal fan should support Clive aid to the fullest. Lee, Russ, Jon, Ben and Mick, consider it an honour and a privilege to play on the bill for Clive. The event runs on the 14 and 15th of November, this is a metal event not to be missed!

LEE AND RUSS TO PLAY KEEP IT TRUE FESTIVAL IN GERMANY

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). The most important scene for Heavy Metal ever! KEEP IT TRUE FESTIVAL in Germany, will celebrate this by having a fantastic backing band, the NWOBHM tribute band ROXXCALIBUR. They will play great metal cover versions, joined by original artists from the UK. CLOVEN HOOF will be represented by Lee and Russ, who will perform "The Gates of Gehenna" and "Laying down the law"!

AMAZING METAL BREW SHOW

Cloven hoof would like to thank the organisers, and the incredible fans who supported the bands at the Metal Brew festival in London on Saturday 26th July 2008 . The audience went crazy, and smashed through the barriers at the front of the stage, during the Hoof's encore songs. The band had such an amazing night, that they intend to play the festival next year also. The event is sure to grow bigger by the year! The Promoters did a superb job, and everything ran like clockwork… Cloven hoof salutes you!

JON BROWN MAKES RECOVERY FROM HIP INJURY

Cloven hoof were unable to appear at a charity show on 13th July, this was because Jon Brown had sustained a hip injury. The band would like to apologise to all the fans who went to the Liquid room Edinburgh, and promise there will be a chance for the faithful in Scotland to see the hoof soon. Jon has made a good recovery, and he is looking forward to the Metal Brew festival in London on Saturday 26th July 2008. The event will take place at the Mill Hill Rugby Club, Page Street, Mill Hill, London NW7 2EL (The festival is held on the field outside the rugby bar). Cloven hoof take to the stage at 10pm, and promise the best set ever!

GOSPORT FESTIVAL AND DIAMOND CLUB GIGS CANCELLED

Due to recording commitments cloven hoof will not be able to play the Gosport Waterfront Festival (with Nazareth) on July 5th 2008. The date at Sutton in Ashfield's Diamond Club will also be pulled on July 13th 2008. The band would like to apologise unreservedly to the fans and any inconvenience is very much regretted. "The Definitive Part one" album has been a resounding success and Cloven hoof will be back in the studio to work on "Definitive part two" throughout June and July.

DATE IN SCOTLAND

A show in Scotland has been added on the 8th May at Zico's Bar in Wishaw. The band have always had incredible die hard supporters in Scotland, and this is the first of many dates that Cloven hoof intends to play in one of it’s favourite parts of the world this year.

MICK POWELL REJOINS THE BAND

Mick Powell has rejoined the Cloven hoof ranks on twin guitar. His first shows will be at Dudley JB'S April 23rd 2008 and on Friday 25th April 2008 at the Bar Monsta, Camden. The JB'S show will be free admission as a thank you to all the home town fans. It will be a hell of a night!

DUDLEY JB'S GIG ADDED APRIL 23RD 2008

A special pre album launch party show has been added in the bands home town of Dudley in the west Midlands. Due to popular demand Cloven hoof will play in front of it's Black country home crowd for the first time since 1990. Book early to avoid disapointment metal maniacs, the April 23rd show will be a night to remember.

ONE OFF SHOW IN LONDON

Cloven hoof will be playing a one off show in London that will take place on Friday 25th April at the Bar Monsta, Camden. The full bill will be CLOVEN HOOF / Desolation / Dark Forest.

The gig will take place as the official warm up party night to the BRITISH STEEL FESTIVAL III Saturday 26th April 2008 at Camden Underworld. Cloven hoof will be playing this show as a special thank you to the fans, after the amazing reception the band got at the Purple Turtle gig a while back. It will be an amazing night, and a celebration of British metal.

The band would like to announce that they will be playing two shows in Greece this September. The first takes place on Friday 26th in Athens at the Underworld club. Cloven hoof will then be in Thessaloniki on Saturday 27th at the Harley Bar. Spread the news the hoof are back in the land of immortals.

The band would like to thank the incredible die hard fans by releasing a limited edition autographed advance copy of "The Definitive Part One" available exclusively on this web site from 20th February 2008. Russ, Jon, Lee and Ben want the most loyal fans to get the album first, ahead of the official 1st of May worldwide release date. The "The Definitive Part One" will be distributed by Universal.

Cloven hoof have attained an almost legendary status as one of the most influential bands to come out of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. To celebrate the dynamic 2008 incarnation of the band, the hoof have re-recorded a collection of their most classic songs. Now at last for the first time, the live energy of Cloven Hoof has been captured in a recording studio with minimum overdubs and crisp production. The CD is aimed at old and a growing new generation of fans, eager to experience the majesty of a band that has paid it’s dues and is at the height of it’s powers. Selling over 30,000 albums worldwide, Cloven Hoof have drawn from a fine back catalogue of albums that have been regarded as later day metal masterpieces. "A Sultans Ransom" is considered by many to be the bands finest release to date, but it is sure to be eclipsed by the release of "The Definitive Part One."

Too many so called metal bands have relied on pro tools to cheat in the studio, the result is a processed mechanical sterile sound. Cloven hoof has gone back to it’s roots and delivered a classic tight but loose album, a live band playing real instruments in the studio which is a refreshing change in this day and age. CLOVEN HOOF ADD DATE IN ITALY AT THE PLAY IT LOUD FESTIVAL 2

Cloven hoof will play in Italy for the first time at the Play It Loud Festival 2 February 23 2008. It will take place in Buddha, Orzinuovi, Brescia, Italy. The line up consists of Manilla road, Hellstar, Steel Assassin, Cloven hoof, Sabotage, Elixir, Alltheniko, Frozen Fears.

ATHENS NWOBHM FESTIVAL CANCELLED

We are sorry to announce that the planned NWOBHM Festival in Athens featuring
Tygers of Pan Tang, Cloven Hoof, Jaguar and Elixir has been cancelled.
The promoters, Sold Out Promotions, had always tried to bring quality bands to Greece
while keeping the ticket prices down to a reasonable level. Unfortunately, after taking a
loss at a recent festival, the promoters felt that they had no other option but to cancel all
future shows, including The British Steel show. Cloven hoof and all the bands conserned are very disappointed that we will not be able to return to Greece to play for the loyal fans, and we sincerely hope that any losses or inconvenience to fans is kept to an absolute minimum.
